Jim Gronemann
Jim worked at Dominos Pizza and help develop a marketing campaign that led to back-to-back success. Eventually he earned enough money to run and own 8 pizza joints of his own. However, this was not his intentions to make pizzas for a living. It was time for a career change.
Jim considered about getting into television and/or radio. He started with taking classes at Columbia College. He started volunteering on a hit TV show while contributing to a popular midday radio show. He was enjoying his participation with both productions as a hobby and realized that he really wanted to get into this business as career. It was a Professor at Columbia that told him that it would take him 3 years in school to be considered for an intern position. However, the Professor advised Jim to apply for a Marketing/Promotion position and work his way up from the inside. He did just that.
WKIE-FM 92.7/5 hired him where he worked his way into the morning show by playing sound effects and filling in for the departed intern. In no time, he was booking guests and putting music beds together. Soon thereafter, Jim was hired as one of Melissa’s Producers and has been by Melissa’s side ever since.
